Ginataang translates to “cooked in coconut milk”, and bilo-bilo refers to the chewy, handmade glutinous rice balls that are stewed in the coconut milk. The result is this deliciously sweet fruit soup. Generally, this is enjoyed as a merienda (light afternoon) snack, but during lent, it’s not uncommon to enjoy this for breakfast.
