It’s time for Super Bowl recipes that put a refreshing spin on classic game-day foods! From the best party dips and crispy chicken wings to bite-sized snacks and more, there’s something to satisfy every hungry fan.
Plan Your Super Bowl Food Ideas
While game day is all about football, we can’t deny that food is just as important. This selection of finger-licking snacks, appetizers, and meals will help you bring your “A” game to the party! But first, here’s a quick guide to planning your Super Bowl menu:
- Select the best appetizers. Super Bowl is all about finger foods! Make sure you have a solid selection of appetizers spread across your table for everyone to enjoy throughout the game. Have fun experimenting with different flavors, textures, and colors.
- Plan communal meals for bigger parties: Hosting a larger crowd? You’ll need heartier options to keep everyone satisfied. Think build-your-own tacos or a big pot of chili!
- Get organized ahead of time: Arrange your servingware the day before to map out your food table. Also, prepare what you can in advance, such as slow-cooked meats or easy dips like hummus. This will make your morning much less stressful.
Classic Super Bowl Dips
Get the party started with flavorful dips! Choose from ultra creamy classics like guacamole, or fun twists like avocado salsa. Just don’t forget the tortilla chips or crackers for dipping.
The Best Ever Guacamole: It’s not a Super Bowl party without a big bowl of guacamole! And this version gets rave reviews every single time.
7 Layer Dip: This is always a crowd favorite and the best combination of refried beans, sour cream, guacamole, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, black olives, green onion, and cilantro.
Pico De Gallo: This classic chunky salsa is perfect for a refreshing bite, layered with tomatoes, onion, lime juice, and cilantro. If you like a smoother salsa, make this restaurant-style red salsa instead!
Salsa Verde: If your team is a fan of green salsa, this is one you’ll want to make. It’s super easy and can also be used to make Crockpot salsa verde chicken for delicious chicken tacos!
Healthy Spinach Artichoke Dip: This dip is a classic for a reason—warm, chunky, and cheesy (but secretly dairy-free!).
French Onion Dip: This has to be one of my personal favorites! Between the sweet caramelized onions and creamy base, it’s the perfect flavor combination for an ultra-flavorful dip.
Crab Dip: If your team loves cheese, this is the dip you’ll want to make. It’s the most delicious combination of sweet tender crab, fresh herbs, and cheesy goodness.
Party Dips With a Mediterranean Flair
Bring some variations to your dips by adding a bowl of Mediterranean classics! These taste great with freshly chopped vegetables like celery, cucumber, or sliced bell peppers.
Classic Hummus: You can never go wrong with a mezze platter that features a classic hummus in the center of it.
Roasted Red Pepper Hummus: This version is creamy, smoky, and extra flavorful thanks to the roasted red peppers. My friends and family love this one!
Tzatziki: Tangy and cooling, this cucumber yogurt sauce is the perfect pairing with crisp vegetables. And for a dairy-free version, you can make this vegan tzatziki.
Baba Ganoush: The ultimate smoky and savory eggplant dip that will have your Mediterranean lovers swooning.
Best Super Bowl Appetizers
Now that you’ve got your dips covered, it’s time to focus on finger foods. Prepare a variety of appetizers to keep the table exciting and the options plentiful throughout the game.
Soy Garlic Ginger Chicken Wings: Can’t do game day without sticky sweet wings! And this Asian twist is probably my favorite.
Honey Mustard Chicken Wings: For another wing flavor, you can’t go wrong with classic honey mustard.
Air Fryer Chicken Wings (Lemon Pepper): If you have an air fryer — this is the easiest way to make super crispy wings. Plus, the lemon pepper sauce is a chef’s kiss.
Ultimate Nachos: You can never go wrong with a giant sheet pan of nachos for a crowd. Plus, you can get extra creative with the toppings.
Baked Zucchini Fries: Crispy zucchini fries coated with grated parmesan and an Italian spice blend—need I say more? And if you have sweet potato lovers, they’ll love these curly sweet potato fries dipped in my garlic aioli.
Ceviche: For a light and fresh appetizer, ceviche is always a hit. This version is vibrant and tangy and can be used with shrimp or white fish.
Unique Super Bowl Appetizers
Along with the classics, add some excitement to your appetizer table with these unique game-day ideas!
Bacon and Goat Cheese Stuffed Mini Peppers: Think of these as a version of jalapeno poppers, using sweet mini bell peppers to pack in creamy goat cheese dotted with bacon and red onions.
Meatballs: Serve these Italian-inspired meatballs on a platter with toothpicks and a bowl of this homemade marinara sauce. These will get devoured fast!
Bacon Deviled Eggs: Amp up your classic deviled eggs with this bacon version!
Guacamole Bacon Burger Bites: Burgers in bite-sized form taste even more delicious.
Communal Meals For A Large Super Bowl Party
If you’re expecting a large crowd, consider communal meals where guests can build, grab, and go! This could include build-your-own tacos (with some of the dips above as condiments), plates with crispy chicken and coleslaw, or even homemade pizza that’s easy to grab by the slice.
Best Ever Chili: A big pot of this beefy chili is one of the best ways to feed a crowd! If you want to use a different meat, give my my turkey chili or vegetarian chili a try.
Cauliflower Pizza: While this one takes a bit more work, the results are worth it for the best low-carb, gluten-free pizza. Plus, I’ll show you how to make two different flavor bases.
Crispy Baked Chicken Thighs: If you’re not making chicken wings, these baked chicken thighs are runner up for one of the best Super Bowl foods.
Honey Mustard Chicken: This is for all the honey mustard lovers at your party! The chicken is juicy, crispy, and coated in the best honey mustard sauce.
Twice Baked Potatoes: These creamy, cheesy potatoes dotted with bacon and chives are the perfect potato dish for game day.
Coleslaw or Vinegar Coleslaw: A batch of coleslaw is great for cleansing the palette in between all the hefty bites. And for those who don’t like mayo, the vinegar version is a winner.
Chicken Fajitas: All you need is 30 minutes to whip up a big batch, then serve with tortillas and salsas. Alternatively, you could also make shrimp fajitas!
Carne Asada: Make sure to marinate your steak earlier in the day. This will give it time to soak up all those delicious Mexican flavors.
Carnitas: This is a recipe I make often for big parties with how easy it is to make in the slow cooker! Just season the pork and let the slow cooker do the work.
Slow Cooker Pulled Pork: For a classic American pulled pork, this recipe will have everyone going back for seconds.
Shrimp Tacos With Cilantro Lime Bacon Slaw: Make a batch of garlic butter shrimp and cilantro lime slaw to assemble these delicious shrimp tacos.
